Hints and Tips No. 4    Getting Your Bark Collar Up and Running

There is nothing more frustrating than getting a new product, and then not being able to get it going in the way you expected.  This can especially apply to bark collars!  Particularly when you (and your neighnbours!) have been sweating on it's arrival to stop your dog barking problem. 

Ninety-nine percent of all the calls or emails we get from customers who cannot get their bark collar going are fitting related.  That's right!  There is rarely any problem with the bark collar itself or the fact the collar is not suitable for the dog.  The main issue is that the collar has not been placed on the dog properly.

All static electric bark collars and spray bark collars that are vibration activated require the collar to be fitted on the dogs neck in an appropriate way that the barking can be detected and in the case of electric collars, give the correction to the dog.  This time of year with many dogs having a thicker undercoat to get through the cold of winter can make it a little harder than when the weather is warmer.

WARRANTIES

All products sold by Bark Control are covered by genuine Australian Distributor warranties. 

Unless otherwise stated all warranties are for 12 months from the date of purchase.  This warranty covers intrinsic component and manufacturing defects and excludes any defects due to misuse, incorrect procedures, tampering, incorrect maintenance, physical damage or misadventures. Damage from dogs chewing is not covered under warranty.

Bark Collars, Remote Trainers and Containment Systems supplied by PetSafe, SportDog Innotek and D T Systems will be repaired or replaced for a period of Three Years from original invoice date (excluding D T Bark Collars which have a two year full warranty only).  This warranty covers intrinsic component and manufacturing defects and excludes any defects due to misuse, incorrect procedures, tampering, incorrect maintenance, physical damage or misadventures. After the first year from date of sale a nominal handling and labour fee, plus return freight charges will apply.

In no event shall Bark Control Australia be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of this Product.

Should your unit require servicing, please call us first on 1300 668 931 to check first if an operator can help you over the phone.

If your product must be returned we will provide a mailing address for the unit to be returned.

Enclose your Sales Receipt, a note detailing the problem and ensure we have your current return address and phone number.

 

60 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE

At Bark Control Australia we offer an unconditional, no questions asked 60 day money back guarantee on all unused and unopened items, we stock.

If you get the product home and decide you do not want to keep it or your circumstances change between purchasing and the product arriving you have the option to return it to us.

A processing fee of 5% (min $15.00) of the purchase price will be charged on all returned items.

Any item that has been removed from its original packaging and/or used in any way is not covered by our 60 day money back guarantee policy.

 

PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE

This guarantee is only offered on specified products.  If the product does not offer a performance guarantee or an upgrade guarantee, then that product is covered by warranty only.

This guarantee is offered on a joint responsibility basis whereby the purchaser agrees to follow all instructions for use and training guidelines as outlined in the training manual.

If the product does not perform satisfactorily, Bark Control Australia will refund the receipted purchase price (less cost of consumables and postage) provided that:

·         Goods are returned in reasonable condition.

·         Goods must be returned in their original packaging with their accessories (excluding citronella/lemon spray refills).  Packaging must be retained and kept in   good order to claim any guarantee.

·         Goods are returned with your original receipt within the specified period from date of invoice.

·         Goods are not damaged in transit.

·         A processing fee of 5% (min $15.00) of the purchase price will be charged on all returned items.

·         The purchaser shall also pay the cost of postal return

·         The purchaser shall also pay the cost of any consumables related to the original item purchased; e.g. replaceable batteries, collar straps, spray refills and rolls of containment system wire and flags. 

·         If Products and packaging are not returned in as close to new condition allowing for general wear and tear Bark Control Australia reserves the right to not refund anything.
