Akita

The Akita is a large dog breed originating from the mountainous regions of Japan. The Akita is a very faithful dog and is well known for its courageous yet composed nature. They are very loyal to their families but are rather independent dogs and can show dominance when they're around other dogs and people. Akitas are not a breed for the novice dog owner due to their strong hunting instinct which must be remembered all times. Akitas weigh between 34kg and 59kg and range in height between 58cm to 71cm.

Bark Collars For Akita

The Akita is not generally known to be a barker but in saying that they are a very headstrong dog and if they decide that barking is on the agenda a citronella collar is going to be no match.

It is recommended that Akita owners look to a static/electric barking collar for the best results.

As with all Dogs if you have a young pup under 8 months or a dog over 10 years we suggest you call us for expert advice.
