Curious in nature, these dogs make the perfect guard dog and loyal companions however than can be overprotective of their owners/family and environment so obedience training from a young age is a must. When owning a German Shepherd as a pet it is important to remember that they have a high level or drive and will need exercise and mental stimulation daily.
