Great Danes are a fantastic choice for families that are comfortable with big dogs! Living up to 8-12 years, the Great Dane is a loving dog who enjoys the companionship of both adults and children. Adult males can grow up to 91cm at the shoulder and weigh between 63-80kg while female Great Dances can grow up to 84cm at the shoulder and weigh between 50-63kg. Given the size of the Great Dane, parental supervision is always advised even with puppies. This way both children and dogs can be trained on how to interact safely.
