Like Fox Terriers, the Jack Russell is a tough little dog originally used on hunts to help flush out foxes from hiding spots and onto the path of larger dogs and hunters. The Jack Russell has a rather bold and fearless nature while also being a friendly and playful dog that interacts well with its human family. Jack Russells tend to act like they're bigger than they are, known to fight well above their weight and aren't' afraid to take on dogs that tower over them.
Training is essential as an undisciplined dog may result in nipping. Jack Russells also need to be exercised regularly due to their high energy. Boredom may cause them to become destructive and mental and physical stimulation is recommended when they have the absence of interaction.

As they are generally running/jumping when they are barking, citronella spray poses no deterrent as the dog will run past the spray. For best results, we suggest static/electric bark collars for sure!
