The “smartest”, most versatile, electronic bark control collar available for dogs from 12kgs. It is rechargeable, waterproof and you can select from 3 modes with 10 levels of correction to best suit your dog’s temperament.
Temperament Learning Mode: When your dog barks, the unit starts at level 0 and works up if barking continues. The level at which barking stops is remembered and adopted as the new starting point should barking re-start.
Progressive Correction Mode: Correction starts at the lowest level and increases one level at a time, each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. Correction resets to the lowest level if your dog is quiet for at least 30 seconds.
User Selected Correction Mode: You can choose the level of correction (0-9) the unit presents if your dog barks.
The SportDog SBC-10R is activated by a combination of vibration sensor and microphone, which prevents unintentional correction and it will only activate if the wearer starts barking or making other nuisance level noise. It works quickly and will usually train your dog to be quiet in less than a day.

The Answer!
After doing some researching we settled on this collar as being the answer. And it was. Our Kelpie is very quiet around the home but the minute he is in the car the non-stop squealing, yodelling, yelping would start. It was extremely stressful (and dangerous) for both driver and passenger, even for a short distance, let alone a long road trip. The first time we put it on he got the fright of his life, but it certainly stopped the noise. He is still in training with it because his trips in the car are intermittent. We put the collar on at home maybe half an hour before going out, but he is now reluctant to get in the car because he has associated the shocks with the car. However, this is the training period and will have to continue until we can turn off the controller. Otherwise he is quite happy and we are very pleased that we can now have a peacefu journey. Our previous Kelpie travelled many thousands of K's in Aus without a boo, so this situation had to be resolved if we are to travel long distances with him. I have told others about this brilliant product. Thank you very much.

I have a 6 year old border collie who has barked excessively on occasions over the years and no amount of training could stop her. Lately I found out that she mainly barks when I'm not home. So it took me awhile to work out that she was doing this. I eventually found out from a neighbour that my dog had been barking for quite sometime but only when I go out. Apparently she barks all day when I'm not home and anything can trigger it, particularly thunder and sirens.
I bought the SportDog SBC-10R which was recommended by Neil (Bark Control Australia) in April 2012. I started using the collar on my dog (using a manual level 2 setting) and asked a neighbour to let me know if my dog barked when I was out. I found out from my neighbour that from the day I started using the collar that my dog was never heard barking again. The collar worked from day one.
Up until I spoke to Neil in April 2012, I was always very hesitant to use static/electric barking collars but I gave in as I didn't have any other reliable option to stop the barking. Now I think that they are the best solution for barking dogs. It is obvious that my dog has not suffered from any harm with the barking collar and when I get it out to put it on her she comes running up to receive it (without me calling her) so she is obviously not afraid of it, and must also know that it is not going to hurt her. My dog is very smart and learns quickly and I know that she would never go near anything that she doesn't like or that frightens her and I have always assumed that she would have low pain tolerance.
I recommend this collar for anyone in a similar situation especially those that are at first reluctant to use an electric/static collar. I am grateful that Neil recommended this collar and I can now go out knowing that my dog will not be causing nuisance barking. I have a 1yr old female Blue Heeler that I have had since she was 4 weeks old. She was alpha of her litter and tries to be alpha of the house. She will wake me up several times in the night to go potty. When she does, she screeches even after she gets outside. I can't have her waking the neighborhood at 2:30 and 3:00am every day. Lollies goes to doggie daycare at a friends house who has a Blue Heeler as well 3 days a week. She screeches on the way out the door at 5:40am during the week as well as at 6:40 when we walk my daughter to the bus stop. I tried other training methods to no avail. I live in the US and came across your site and Bark Collar Buying Guide yesterday. On Feb 17, 2013 I bought the petsafe static collar from a pet store and it didn't work. I bought the SportDog SBC-10r yesterday from another pet store and it worked the first time she barked. I set it to temperament learning mode. Lollies only barked a total of 4 times between last night and this morning. The other 3 were because I think she forgot she had the collar on. While I didn't purchase from your company, because of your Buying Guide by breed I would have never known about this. Thank you from Charleston, SC, USA.

My dog is a 34kg high energy Golden Retriever. Excellent customer service, called me within 10 mins of sending an email, easy to purchase and helped with recommending a suitable collar - Sportdog SBC- 10R. Most collars increase in intensity as barking continues. My dog was smart & barked only once every few seconds to avoid correction. This collar corrects at the level chosen (10 levels) at first bark. Still haven't charged it in 2.5 months of use, dog rarely barks with it on. I had to increase correction level from 5 to 7, which seems to have resolved any problems. Highly recommend over my previous spray & normal bark collar.

EXCELLENT!!!
I have a very active cattle dog and a 55kg Mastiff and I have been getting council letters and my neighbours have not been happy with them barking as I leave the house. My collars arrived today and I put them to work straight away! I want to thank you so very much. From the second I put them on the dogs they have learnt in the last 4 hours not to bark when I leave the house.
