Do the Training!

This is the last step. It would be unfair to expect your dog to 'figure it out for themselves'.

All systems come with a complete training guide that will teach you how to easily teach your dog it's new boundaries. To find out more about training a dog to use a dog containment system, click here.

Planning is Essential

up&down-arrow

Draw out your yard and work out the best/easiest way to run your wire to form your new containment area. Simple is better and use existing fencing wherever possible.

You do not need to bury the wire! With an electric dog fence system, attaching to existing fences with cable ties or U-shaped nails is fine.
