How the PetSafe Rechargeable Bark Collar Works

The PBC17-16000 bark collar has 15 levels of static stimulation and uses Temperament Learning Functionality. Temperament Learning tracks the level of stimulation needed to control your dog's nuisance barking.

Temperament Learning Mode

When your dog begins barking, the collar delivers a static stimulation at the lowest level (level 1). The collar increases the stimulation strength one level at a time with each bark within 30 seconds of the previous bark. The stimulation level that stops your dogs from barking becomes the starting level the next time your dog barks. For example, if level 5 stop your dog's barking, the collar will skip levels 1-4

NOTE: As a built-in safety feature, if your dog barks 15 times or more within an 80 second period, the bark control collar will automatically shut off for 3 minutes.
