GingerLead Dog Support Sling & Rehabilitation Harness

The GingerLead Support and Rehabilitation Harness is a padded support sling designed to safely support your dog to get from A to B. The GingerLead harness fits comfortably under your dog's lower body and takes pressure off their hind legs. The GingerLead is recommended for (but not limited to) the following conditions:

Sizing Guide

The right size harness for your dog is based on three things:

  1. The gender of your dog
  2. Pad Width - The distance between the base of your dog's rib cage to the front of their hind leg.
  3. Adjustment Length - The measurement of where the handle would be to underneath your dog's lower body and returning to the handle.

Things To Consider

ADVICE: Larger dogs or dogs with severe injuries may need additional support. We recommend fitting the GingerLead to your dog's lower body and fitting a regular dog harness (such as the Julius K9 IDC Powerharness or Julius K9 IDC Belt Harness) to your dog's upper body.

For water-based mobility rehabilitation training, we recommend the Julius K9 Swimming/Rehabilitation harness. This harness is made of neoprene material and wraps around your dog's entire body for full support. The harness has a handle stitched firmly the top for supporting or lifting your dog in water and on land. The swimming harness also includes a set of foam pads for additional buoyancy in the water!

MATERIALS: The GingerLead Harness has adjustable nylon straps with a handle for easy support. The nylon handle is wrapped with a soft corduroy material that's soft to touch and comfortable to hold. The GingerLead's thick padding (body support pad) is also covered with a soft corduroy material that rests against your dog's body preventing skin irritations, chafing, discomfort and pinching. The GingerLead harness has an optional lead that can be clipped to your dog's collar or harness.
